The Office of Equity Compliance
Providence College and the Office of Equity Compliance are committed to maintaining an environment in which all students, staff and faculty are treated with dignity and respect, as created in the image and likeness of God.
Title VI
A federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in schools and educational programs that receive federal funding. This means that all community members must have equal access to educational opportunities, services, and activities without facing discrimination or exclusion because of their background.
Title IX
A civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in schools and educational programs that receive federal funding. This means that community members must have equal access to all educational opportunities and activities, free from sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment and misconduct.
